Details

The interface of the Personal World Map has been built in ActionScript (Flash).

A MySQL database has been used to store all the necessary data. Several Python scripts have been built to load data into the MySQL database, to communicate with the Xdistributor (see data) and to let Flash talk to MySQL.

In order to be able to deal with geographic data PostGIS has been used at the beginning of the project.
